Where is the Harm?

The next time someone asks me where the harm is from religion. This is what I will say:

Pedo priests inflict great sadness, trauma, physical and mental trauma, but what scares me most about priests raping children, is that we have no reason to believe that it is a recent phenomenon. That means there must be millions upon millions of victims who will never be avenged. No one will ever know how deep this cancer has infected our culture, Those millions of raped children turned into damaged adults who then spread the disease to their children.

We must STOP this NOW.
