My neighbour is alone and unable to do any woodwork needed her letterbox replaced. The original builder used ordinary plywood and didn't bother painting inside or sealing the joints. Consequently it rotted. I made the new carcass out of exterior hardwood plywood (offcuts from the observatory turret) and will be sealed and painted everywhere. I will post a pic of it in place with the cladding affixed. Doing those bloody windows nearly did my head in. The angles are all odd and crazy chamfers and needed to be perfect to get the seal done correctly so it wont leak and rot. Next time I open my big mouth and say "Easy, I can do that,. please kick me and repost the second pic!
