Questions for theists

Some patients are treated with brain surgery to separate the right and left hemispheres.

As your left eye feeds into the right side of your brain and vice versa, by covering one eye at a time, it is possible to ask questions of each side of the brain independently and importantly, get different answers. The left may choose a different favourite colour to the right and so on.

In some patients one side is a theist and the other atheist. How can this be so?

Surely there is only one soul, they don't split that in half do they?

So is one part of the brain going to hell and the other to heaven. Imagine being in heaven and knowing half of what is 'you' is in hell.

There must be some physical manifestation of you that goes to hell, otherwise, why would we fear the flames?
