I bought a fountain pen* to write a sad letter of condolence. I always think such things are better written and not typed. I came to realise though, how much writing has changed for me since I now type almost everything. Not the style, I still write in the same erratic style, no one letter looking much like the same letter in another word, but the process. It took me four attempts at the letter and two at the envelope before I got it mistake free. Not being able to use that backspace button, makes for many mistakes that would otherwise go unnoticed.
*Fountain pens are pens that need to be filled with ink either directly from a bottle or via a pre filled cartridge.
